The 12th match of the Vivo IPL 2018 between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings began With the Kings XI Punjab sent in to bat first, and they got off to a rocking start, with openers KL Rahul and Windies mass entertainer Chris Gayle blasting away the CSK bowlers all over the park, and going for a hunt.

However, Ambati Rayudu 49(35) kept hopes alive, as he posted a composed knock, before being dismissed by Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin, who again struck by running out last match hero Billings in a spectacular piece of fielding. In came captain cool MS Dhoni, who has been critically out of form, who was joined by Ravindra Jadeja, who gave company for a while before being dismissed for 19.
